Grip Strength Matters
10 minutesTowel, grocery bags or light bags
Your grip strength might be one of the most important measures of your overall health — and most people have no idea.
Over the past two decades, a growing body of research has consistently found that grip strength is one of the strongest predictors of health outcomes in adults over 50. Strong grip is associated with better cardiovascular health, greater overall muscle mass, lower risk of cognitive decline, and greater functional independence. Several large studies have found that grip strength in midlife predicts health and physical function decades later.
